General Information of Mexico
Mexico City or Federal District is the capital city of Mexico and headquarter of the federal powers, and it is part of one of its 32 federative entities. Mexico City is the political and economical center of the country and is the third most populous metropolis of the world, only after Tokyo (Japan) and São Paulo (Brazil). For its territorial extension and population, it is in turn, the third largest city in the world.
Socioeconomic indicators
Federal District is the federal entity which owns the highest human development index (HDI) in Mexico, which is of 0.8830, over the 0.8221 average index of the Mexican Republic as a whole. The HDI is obtained by analyzing a population's availability of health services, educational levels and income. In the case of the Federal District, the best indicator is 0.9018 which corresponds to the income. Mexico City has five of the ten territorial subdivisions with greater HDI in all Mexico, including Benito Juárez, Miguel Hidalgo, Tlalpan, Coyoacán and Cuajimalpa delegations.
Language
Like the rest of Mexico, the predominant language in Mexico City is Spanish, which is spoken by the vast majority of the capital's inhabitants.
Religion
Most of the city's inhabitants are Catholics. At least they have been baptized as such, although when asked what religion they practice, many often say that they are “believers”, which means that they are considered adherents to Catholicism, but do not practice their religion.
Electrical current 
In Mexico, electricity is generated and transmitted in high voltages. For domestic and commercial users and small businesses, it is delivered through voltage transformers between phase and neutral 127 V.
